6. Edward Henry JOHNSON [ Parents ]. Born 9/11/1868 in St George in the East and baptized there 29/11/1868. Edward Henry died in 1929 in Camberwell, age 60. Occupation: Paper hanger. On 10/1/1903, when Edward Henry was age 34, he married Sarah BARTINGALE , daughter of William Samuel BARTINGALE , a Railway guard, in St Michael’s, Battersea. Sarah was born about 1881 in Kew, Surrey. It is not known when she died. They had the following children: (1) Florence Beatrice , born 17/10/1905 in Walthamstow and baptized 3/12/1905 in St Michael’s, Battersea. Florence died in 1978 in Worthing, Sussex, age 73. In 1933, when Florence was age 27, she married Reginald ANSELL (1908-1988) in Worthing, Sussex. (2) Edward , born about 1906 in Tooting, according to the 1911 census. (3) Edward George , born 17/4/1909 and baptized 17/8/1910 in St Mary, Stepney. (4) Frances , born 27/5/1910 in Shadwell and baptized 17/8/1910 in St Mary, Stepney. 7. James Robert JOHNSON [ Parents ]. Born 28/12/1864 in St George in the East and baptized there 22/7/1865. By the time of his marriage in 1885 James Robert was calling himself “Robert James” and that remained the case for the rest of his life. He died 6/8/1936 in The German Hospital, Dalston, age 71. Cause of death: Carcinoma of pancreas, certified by W. B. Purchase, Coroner for County of London, after post mortem without inquest. Death reported by his daughter Ethel Ling, 21 Mildmay Street, Islington. He was buried on 13/8/1936 in Abney Park Cemetery, Stoke Newington. Occupation: Tobacco cutter. On 27/11/1885 when Robert James was 20, he married Frances Elizabeth PARRIS , daughter of William PARRIS and Mary LUCHFORD , in Maidstone, Kent. Born 11/9/1865 in Upper Halling, Frances Elizabeth died 8/1/1931, age 65. She was buried 24/1/1931 in Abney Park Cemetery, Stoke Newington. They had the following children: (1) Mary Florence , born 22/4/1887 in 26 Melville Road, Maidstone, and died 7/1/1973 in Frome, Somerset, age 85. On 25/12/1909, when Mary Florence was age 22, she married George Alfred SLATER (1886-1972) in St Peter's, De Beauvoir Square, Hackney. (2) Gertrude Annie , born 16/11/1888 in Brunswick Street, Maidstone. On 12/4/1914, When Gertrude was age 25, she married James Thomas Lindley HODGE (1888-1967), son of James HODGE and Eliza Georgina WOOD , in St Peter’s. (3) Albert Edward Parris [ 9 ] . (4) James [ 10 ] . (5) Henry Parris [ 11 ] . (6) Ethel Elizabeth , born 31/8/1900 in Shoreditch. On 6/5/1922, when Ethel was age 21, she married Joseph LING (1900-1961) in St Peter's. (7) Alfred Thomas [ 12 ] . (8) George [ 13 ] . 8. Frank Frederick JOHNSON [ Parents ]. Born 1873 in Chatham, Kent, Frank died 1930 in Hackney, age 56. Occupation: Street trader. In 1899, when Frank was age 25, he married Martha Matilda WHILEY in Shoreditch. Martha was born 1876 in London and died 1958 in Stoke Newington, age 81. They had the following children, all baptized in St Peter's, De Beauvoir Square, Hackney: (1) Francis Charles , born 31/10/1899 in Islington and baptized 26/11/1899. Private 616507 Francis Johnson, 19th Bn., London Regiment died 2/7/1918, age 18 at an unknown place, during the Great War. Francis is commemorated at the City of London Cemetery, Manor Park. (2) Charles Thomas , born 9/6/1901 in Islington and baptized 21/7/1901. (3) William James , born 25/10/1903 in Islington and baptized 22/11/1903. (4) Annie Elizabeth , born 5/11/1906 in Islington and baptized 2/12/1906.
