12. John COCHRANE [ Parents ]. Born about 1863 in Shoreditch. It is not known when John died. Occupation: Decorator and paper hanger. On 26/3/1882, when John was age about 20, he married Annie Elizabeth HUGGINS , in St Peter’s Church, Bethnal Green. The forename “Henry” is recorded in the marriage certificate, the 1881 census and birth certificates for two of his children born 1883 and 1886 respectively. Why John used Henry during this time is not known. He reverted back to John in the 1891 and subsequent censuses. They had the following children: (1) Henry Thomas [ 20 ] . (2) Arthur Charles [ 21 ] . (3) An unnamed male , born June 1888 in 70 Shakespeare Road, Hornsey and died there 3/7/1888, age 1 month. Cause of death certified as “Found dead Suffocation in bed Accidental” following an inquest held 4/7/1888. (4) Frederick John , born 9/11/1891 in 60 Spenser Road, South Hornsey and baptized 18/10/1892 in St Matthias, Stoke Newington. Frederick John died 5/4/1972 in St Mary's Hospital, Eastbourne, age 80. Cause of death certified as Carcinomatosis. On 22/4/1916, when Frederick John was age 24, he married Ethel Florence DOUGALL (1891-1973), daughter of Charles DOUGALL (deceased), in St Philip, Dalston, London. (5) Albert , born 28/9/1893 in 100 Spenser Road, South Hornsey and died there 29/9/1888, age 6 hours. Cause of death certified as Premature birth. (6) Charles Albert , born 5/11/1894 in 100 Spenser Road, South Hornsey and died 5/10/1973 in Whittington Hospital, Islington, age 78. Cause of death certified as “Haemopericardium; Ruptured Myocardial infarct.; Coronary thrombosis”. On 25/9/1927, when Charles Albert was age 32, he married Alice Edith Maud SNELL (1899-1986), daughter of Richard John SNELL (deceased), in Holy Trinity Church, East Finchley. Their children may be living. On 1/8/1908, when John was age 44, he married Caroline Elizabeth GRAVES , daughter of William Davey GRAVES (deceased), in St Matthias Church, Stoke Newington. Caroline Elizabeth was born about 1870 in London. It’s not known when she died. There’s no evidence they had any children.
