First Generation
1. Edward TRIVETT. Edward’s baptism and death dates are unknown. On 18/2/1695 he married Mary FRENCH in Musbury. Mary died 10/2/1696.
Edward then married Susanna (maiden name and date unknown).
They had the following children, all born in Musbury:
(1) John, born 31/12/1696. (2) Edward, born 7/9/1702. (3) Sarah, born 18/4/1704.
(4) James, born 20/12/1705. (5) Robert, born 21/11/1707.
(6) Catherine, born 27/3/1712.
(7) Mary, born 27/3/1712. (8) Thomas [2]. (9) Alice, born 23/4/1717. (10) Thomasin,
born 30/3/1719.
Second Generation
2. Thomas TRIVETT [Parents]. Born 24/7/1715 in Musbury, Thomas died 21/9/1743, age
28.
On 26/4/1738, when Thomas was 22, he married Elizabeth SANDFORD. Born about 1716,
Elizabeth died on 5/11/1738.
They had the following child:
(1) Richard [3].
Third Generation
3. Richard TRIVETT [Parents]. Born about 1740, Richard married Elizabeth (maiden
name and marriage date unknown). Elizabeth was born 1741 and died 1797.
They had the following child:
(1) Richard [4].
Fourth Generation
4. Richard TRIVETT [Parents]. Born 20/12/1761 in Musbury.
On 11/5/1780, when Richard was 18, he married Sarah PURSE in Shute, Devon.
They had the following children:
(1) Mary, born 5/11/1782. (2) Thomas, born 16/4/1785. (3) Joseph, born 1/3/1787.
(4) Richard [5]. (5) John, born 2/10/1793. (6) James [6].
(7) Robert, born 1799.
(8) Sarah, born 1800.
Fifth Generation
5. Richard TRIVETT [Parents]. Born 16/3/1791 in Shute. It is not known when Richard
died.
On 29/3/1814, when Richard was age 23, he married Jenny HAWKER. Jenny was born 4/3/1788.
They had the following children, all born in Shute:
(1) William, born 9/4/1815. On 8/4/1841, when William was age 25, he married Sarah
FARRANT. (2) John, born 6/4/1817. (3) James, born 2/1/1820. In 1852, when James
was age about 32, he married Susan MOSS. James died in 1877. (4) Thomas, born 31/3/1822.
He married Hannah NORRIS.
(5) Timothy, born 9/4/1826. He died 18/7/1905 in Ontario,
Canada. (6) Henry [7]. (7) Richard, born 1835.
6. James TRIVETT [Parents]. Born 3/6/1797 in Shute and died quarter ending September
1866, age 69, in Axminster.
On 7/5/1820, when James was 22, he married Mary HOARE in Musbury. Mary was born
about 1799 in Musbury and died quarter ending December 1871, age given as 84.
They had the following children:
(1) Mary Ann, baptized 25/2/1821 in Musbury. (2) Tom, born about 1822. (3) Sarah
Hoare, born about 1823. (4) Thomas, born about 1824.
(5) James, born about 1827.
(6) John [8].
Sixth Generation
7. Henry TRIVETT [Parents]. Born 1/6/1828 in Shute, Henry died 9/5/1880, also in
Shute.
In 1855, when Henry was age about 26, he married Mary Ann CHAPPLE, daughter of William
CHAPPLE & Frances RUSS.
They had the following children, all born in Shute:
(1) Selina Elizabeth, born about 1855. (2) Sarah Jane, born quarter ending September
1858. (3) Emma Jane, born quarter ending September 1860.
(4) Alfred, born about 1861.
(5) Ephraim William, born 9/11/1862. (6) Henry, born about 1863. (7) Albert, born
about 1865. (8) John, born about 1867. (9) Hannah, born 1869.
8. John TRIVETT [Parents]. Born about 1833 and died 20/8/1872 in Shute, age about
39. Cause of death certified as Typhus fever.
On 23/4/1856, when John was about 23, he married Emily SPILLER in Kilmington. Emily
was born about 1833 and died 30/5/1920 in Kilmington, age 88. Cause of death certified
as Senility, (no post-
They had the following children:
(1) William, born 1860 in Kilmington. (2) Walter, born 8/3/1861 in Kilmington. Walter died in 1872 and was buried 3/9/1872 in Shute. Cause of death certified as Typhus. (3) Frederick, born 1864 in Kilmington. (4) Sidney John [9]. (5) Samuel James, born 1867 and died 1/9/1872 in Shute. Buried 3/9/1872 in Shute. Cause of death certified as Typhus. (6) Mary Maria, born about 1870 in Shute. (7) Elizabeth, born 1871 in Shute.
Seventh Generation
9. Sidney John TRIVETT [Parents]. Born 29/3/1865 in Shute and died 19/1/1938 in
Axminster, age 72. Cause of death certified as Acute cardiac failure; Pleurisy;
Recent operation for enlarged prostate. Occupation: Road contractor.
On 16/7/1890, when Sidney was 25, he married Mary Ann LARCOMBE at St Michael’s Church,
Shute. Mary was born 1863 and died 12/2/1903 in 
Axminster. Cause of death certified
as Phthisis (in other words, Tuberculosis) and exhaustion.
They had the following children:
1. Ernest William, born 23/12/1891. 2. Dorothy Minna, born 23/3/1893. 3. Thirza
Mary, born 1895 and died 21/3/1970 in Exeter.
On 26/10/1904, when Sidney was age 39, he married Elizabeth Ella CHAPPLE, daughter
of Richard CHAPPLE and Amelia ROSE, in Axminster.
They had the following children:
1. Ronald Sidney, born 1905. 2. Arthur, born 1908.
