1. Jonathan WRIGHT. Born either 1791 (if age at death is correct) or about 1793 (if age in 1871 census is correct) in Swinford, Leicestershire, occupation labourer. Jonathan died 3/1/1875, age given as 84, in Knossington, Leicestershire.
On 5/12/1824 when Jonathan was age about 31, he married Jane BUZZARD, daughter of Mary Buzzard, in Knossington, Leicestershire. Baptized on 20/11/1803 in Great Easton, Leicestershire, Jane died in 1874 (quarter ending March) in Knossington.
They had the following children:
i. Elizabeth [2] (1825-1895)
ii. Harriet, born 1835 in Knossington. Harriet died sometime after 1901. In the Quarter ending March 1883, when Harriet was age about 47, she married Charles JEFFERIES in Stroud, Gloucestershire. They had no children. Harriet’s occupation, until her marriage was a School mistress.
2. Elizabeth Wright [Parents]. Baptized 6/11/1825 in Knossington, Leicestershire and died there on 4/6/1895, age 69. Cause of death given as “Abdominal Abscess”, certified by W. Wear MRCS.
Elizabeth had the following child whose father is unknown. :
i. Frederick [3] (1848-?)
On 25/9/1854, when Elizabeth was age 28, she married Joseph JONES, son of William and Ann Jones, in Knossington.
3. Frederick Wright [Parents]. Born 10/4/1848 in Knossington, Leicestershire and baptized 19/11/1848. It is not known when he died. Frederick’s father is unknown. His birth certificate records his grandparents, Jonathan Wright and Jane Wright formerly Buzzard, as his parents. On the certificate for his second marriage to Elizabeth Horsman, his father is given as Joseph Wright, a Saddler. This is likely to be a reference to his step father Joseph Jones, a Saddler, with the family name changed to disguise Frederick’s illegitimacy. It is not known when Frederick died. Occupation: Coachman, groom.
On 15/8/1867, when Frederick was age 19, he first married Elizabeth COOK. Born 20/5/1848 in Dover, Kent, Elizabeth died before census day, 5/4/1891.
They had the following children:
i. Benjamin Frederick, born 1868 (quarter ending March) in Billesdon, Leicestershire.
ii. Charles Henry [4] (1869-1904)
iii. Harriet Ann, born quarter ending June 1871in Billesdon, Leicestershire.
iv. Jesse, born about 1872 in Billesdon, Leicestershire.
v. Jane, born about 1873.
vi. Henry Lloyd, born quarter ending December 1874 in Billesdon, Leicestershire.
vii. Mary Ann, born quarter ending March 1877 in Billesdon, Leicestershire.
viii. Eva Mabel, born quarter ending March1888 in Billesdon, Leicestershire.
On 4/12/1897, when Frederick was age 49, he second married Elizabeth Mary HORSMAN, daughter of Charles Horsman, at the Parish Church of St Olave Marygate, York. Born 1848, it is not known when Elizabeth Mary died.
4. Charles Henry Wright [Parents]. Born 3/9/1869 in Billesdon, Leicestershire. Occupation: Licensed Victualler. Master of the West Derby hunt . Landlord of the Railway Hotel inTithebarn Street, Liverpool, (opposite the former Exchange Railway Station). Charles Henry died 28/7/1904, age 34, of Meningitis.
On 10/2/1891, when Charles Henry was age 21, he married Anne CLAY. Born 2/9/1868 in West Derby, Lancashire. Anne died 26/12/1907, age 39..
They had the following children:
i. Robert Frederick [5]
ii. Josiah James [6]
iii. Dorothy Ivy, born 28/10/1902 in Liverpool and died 9/3/1974.
5. Robert Frederick WRIGHT [Parents]. Born 25/2/1893 in Toxteth Park, Liverpool and died 19/4/1977.
On 4/6/1914, when Robert Frederick was age 21, he married Cora STEWART. Cora was born 26/4/1893 in West Derby, Lancashire, and died 9/6/1967 age 73.
They had the following child:
i. Daphne Alicia, born 5/3/1921 and died 24/12/2003.
6. Josiah James WRIGHT [Parents]. Born 13/5/1895 in West Derby, Lancashire. Occupation: Dentist in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. Josiah James died 2/12/1973 in Middleton, Manchester. Cause of death: Cardiac failure.
On 26/8/1926, when Josiah James was age 31, he married Elizabeth Margaret Ann BARKER in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. Born 26/4/1902 in Stourbridge, Staffordshire, Elizabeth Margaret Ann died 4/3/1992 in Manchester. Cause of death: Cerebral infarction.
They had 1 child who may still be living.
