 30. Mark PARRIS  [Parents]. Born September 1853 in Halling, Kent and baptized 30/10/1853 at St John the Baptist Church, Halling. He emigrated with his parents and siblings to the USA in 1858. Mark probably died before 1/4/1930 - he does not appear in the US Federal census taken that day. Occ: Farmer.
On 9/8/1874, when Mark was age 20, he married Matilda WANTZ in De Kalb County, Illinois, USA. Matilda was born June 1859 in Illinois of German parents. Matilda probably died before 1/4/1930 - she does not appear in the US Federal census taken that day.
They had the following children:
i. Olive, born about 1876 in La Salle County, Illinois.
ii. Edna, born May 1886 in Illinois.
iii. Iva, born October 1891 in Illinois.
31. Henry J PARRIS [Parents]. Born quarter ending March 1856 in Halling, Kent. He emigrated with his parents and siblings to the USA in 1858. It is not known when he died. Occ Farm laborer.
On 11/7/1875, when Henry was age 19, he married Julia A RICE in De Kalb County, Illinois. Julia was born February 1856 in New York. It is not known when she died.
They had two children; only one is known:
i. Ella M, birth date unknown.
32. William PARRIS [Parents]. Born January or early February 1858 in Halling, Kent and baptized 21/2/1858 at St John the Baptist Church, Halling. He emigrated with his parents and siblings to the USA in 1858. It is not known exactly when William died but it was after 1/4/1930 - he appears on the Federal census taken that day. Occ: Laborer; janitor.
Around 1879, when William was age about 21, he married Eliza F ANGIER, daughter of Thomas & Fannie ANGIER, in Illinois. Eliza was born about 1860 and probably died before 1/6/1900 - she does not appear in the US Federal census taken that day.
They had the following children:
i. A female, name unknown, born 1880 in Illinois.
ii. Mabel, born October 1882 in Illinois.
33. Amos Theodore PARRIS [Parents]. Born 27/12/1860 in Somonauk County, Illinois, USA. Amos Theodore died 23/12/1946, probably in Nebraska, age 85. Occ Grain dealer; Miller.
On 15/11/1880, when Amos Theodore was age 19, he married Ella Nora PELKA. Ella Nora was born April 1861 in Illinois. It is not known when she died.
They had seven children; those known were:

iv. Lawrence [52]
v. Mildred E, born about 1902 in Aurora, Hamilton County, Nebraska.
34. Albert Ernest PARRIS [Parents]. Born 8/12/1862, in Sandwich, DeKalb County, Illinois, USA. Albert Ernest died on 12/9/1944 in Geneva, Fillmore County, Nebraska, USA age 81. He was buried on 14/9/1944.
On 15/5/1844 Albert Ernest married Mary Elizabeth McCANN in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. Justice Sedgewick officiated. Born 1/3/1870 in Milwaukee, Mary Elizabeth died on 20/2/1944 in Geneva, Fillmore County, Nebraska, USA age 74.
They had the following children:
i. Ida Dora, born 21/3/1887 in Sandwich, Illinois, USA.
ii. Lillie Blanch [53] (1888-1904).
iii. Arthur Lee, born 16/2/1889 in Aurora, Nebraska, USA. Arthur Lee died 12/9/1965 in Wadsworth, Kansas, USA and buried in the Veterans’ cemetery there.

Arthur Lee Parris was named on the passenger list of the SS "Aconcagua" that sailed from Honolulu 19 December 1945, arriving Los Angeles, California 26 December 1945: “26. Parris Arthur L. Age 57 years 10 months. Male, married. Date of birth February 16 1888 [sic], birthplace Arou_n [sic] Neb. Address 911 E Lynnwood Blvd, Kansas City, Mo.”
Taken from Geneva newspaper concerning Arthur Parris' death: "Arthur Lee Parris, 76, passed away September 12, 1965, at the Veterans hospital at Wadsworth, Kansas. He entered the hospital July 21, 1965, critically ill of heart disease. He was buried in the Veterans Cemetery at Wadsworth, Kansas, Monday September 13, with graveside services, gun salute and taps. Mr. Parris was born February 16, 1889, in Aurora, Nebraska. While very young he went with his parents, the late Albert Ernest and Mary E. Parris, to live in Geneva, Nebraska. Most of his life was spent in the Navy until the close of World War I. He then entered the Civil Service engineers department at San Francisco and Palo Alto, CA., later at Lincoln, NE. He was a member of the American Legion, Sloan-Bolton Post 68, Geneva for 30 years, also the George Washington Masonic Lodge No. 250, Lincoln, NE.; 100F No. 65, Geneva; International Union of Operating Engineers, Washington, D.C. through Local No. 6-6A-6B of Kansas City, Missouri. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Iva Frady Parris of Kansas City, MO., and a sister, Mrs. Bonnie B. Maes of Southgate, CA."

35. Melvin PARRIS [Parents]. Born January 1864 in Illinois, Melvin died 14/7/1927 in Sandwich, De Kalb County Illinois, age 63. Occ: Laborer.
Around 1886/1887 when Melvin was age 22/23, he married Emma (maiden name unknown). Emma was born December 1867 in England. It is not known when she died.
They had the following children:
i. Ethel, born December 1897 in Nebraska.
ii. Ralph [50] born April 1890 in Sandwich, De Kalb County, Illinois.
iii. Bessie, born January 1892 in Sandwich, De Kalb County, Illinois.
iv. Irene, born October 1894 in Sandwich, De Kalb County, Illinois.
v. Clifford, born July 1897 in Sandwich, De Kalb County, Illinois.
vi. Jeanette, born May 1900 in Sandwich, De Kalb County, Illinois.
vii. Joan, born about 1902 in Sandwich, De Kalb County, Illinois.
viii. Hazel, born about 1904 in Sandwich, De Kalb County, Illinois.
ix. Kenneth, born about 1911 in Sandwich, De Kalb County, Illinois.
36. Jane Esther PARRIS [Parents]. Born 1/5/1865. Jane Esther died on 13/12/1914, age 49.
On 31/12/1883 when Jane Esther was 18, she married Thomas W WRIGHT, in Shabbona, USA.
They had one child:
i. Jane Frances Jennie, born 22/12/1900 in Knieram, Iowa, USA. Jane Frances Jennie died 25/1/1967 in Santa Clara, California, USA , age 66. On 22/6/1926 when Jane Frances Jennie was 25, she married James Edward GOODWIN, in St Louis. James Edward was born 11/10/1892 in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.
37. James William PARRIS [Parents]. Born 25/12/1867 in Illinois, James William died in 1949 age about 82. Occ: High school teacher; later Superintendent of Schools for Cook County Illinois.
Around 1893, when James William was age about 26, he married Cora W CLARK. Cora was born July 1873 In Indiana. It is not known when she died.
They had the following children:
i. Edna A, born June 1894 in Indiana. Edna married Charles HIPPSHAW, date unknown.
ii. Lester, born April 1897 in Illinois.
iii. Noel C, born September 1899 in Illinois.
iv. Raymond, born about 1901 in Illinois.
v. Kenneth, born about 1903 in Illinois.
vi. Helen, born about 1906 in Illinois.
vii. Esther, born about 1907 in Illinois.
38. John Butler PARRIS [Parents]. Born 8/9/1872 in Illinois. John Butler died 3/12/1936 in Winamac, Pulaski County, Indiana age 64. Occ: Farmer.
On 21/12/1905, when John Butler was age 33, he married Ada Ina CAMPBELL in Winamac, Pulaski County, Indiana. Ada Ina was born about 1886 in Indiana. It is not known when she died.
They had the following children:
i. Adaline V, born about 1906 in Indiana.
ii. Doris M, born about 1908 in Indiana.
iii. Butler C, born about 1908 in Indiana.
iv. Francis, born about 1910 in Indiana.
v. John William, born 17/9/1919 in Laurens, Pocahontas County, Indiana. On 31/7/1943, when John William was age 23, he married Dorothy McDERMOTT in Los Angeles, California.
