First Generation

1. William MAYATT. Born about 1765 in Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, William died about 1818.

On 1/11/1792 he married Jane WELLENDER, daughter of Henry WELLENDER and Mary CLARK, at High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. Jane was baptized 6/10/1765 in Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.

i. Joseph [2] (1793-1862).

ii. Mary, baptized 29/1/1795. Mary married Thomas SYMS, son of John and Elizabeth SYMS.

iii. William, baptized 3/12/1796. William married Hannah BROWN on 20/7/1817 in Wycombe.

iv. Elizabeth, baptized 5/6/1798. Elizabeth married William SYMS, son of John and Elizabeth SYMS.

 v. Henry, baptized 21/9/1800.

 vi. Robert, baptized 26/12/1802.

vii. Jane, baptized 25/8/1805 and buried 2/7/1806.

viii. Jane, baptized 24/4/1808.

Second Generation

2.   Joseph MAYATT. Baptized 15/9/1793 at Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. Joseph died 1862 at St Pauls Cray, Kent aged 69. He was buried 1/11/1862 at Parish Church of St Mary Cray, Bromley, Kent.

On 26/2/1816, when Joseph was age 22, he married Frances Elizabeth HAWKS, daughter of John HAWKS and Mary LARGE in Snodland, Kent.. Frances was baptized 9/10/1785 in Snodland, Kent and died in the quarter ending December 1838 in Bromley, Kent.

They had the following children, all born Snodland, Kent:

 i. Mary Elizabeth, baptized 26/1/1817. In the quarter ending September 1840, when Mary Elizabeth was age 22, she married Joseph Rablus PHILLIPS, son of Edward PHILLIPS and Ann WELLER.  She died in 1890 in Bromley, Kent.

ii. Elizabeth, baptized 19/7/1818. Elizabeth died in 1827 and was buried 24/3/1827 in Snodland, Kent.

iii. James [3]

iv. Charles Henry [4] (1822-1899)

v. Jane, baptized13/6/1824 and died in 1825. Jane was buried 1/2/1825 in Snodland, Kent.

vi. Frances Elizabeth, baptized 15/10/1826. On 25/4/1847, when France Elizabeth was age 20, she married Harry TYRER at St Botolphs, Bishopsgate, London.

vii. Jane, baptized 22/2/1829. Jane died in 1881, age about 52.

viii. Sarah, born 1831 and died 1832. Buried 22/11/1832 at All Saints Parish Church, Snodland, Kent.

1861: High Street, St Mary Cray, Bromley, Kent. Joseph Mayatt (head, widower) age 67 born Wycombe, Bucks occ Papermaker. Jane Mayatt (dtr) age 35 born Snodland, Kent, noted as “idiot” and “cripple”.

Third Generation

3. James MAYATT. Baptized 4/6/1820 in Snodland, Kent. James died quarter ending September 1905 in St Mary Cray, Kent, age 85. Occ: Plumber and House Painter.

On 16/6/1841, when James was age 21, he married Caroline PHILLIPS, daughter of Edward PHILLIPS and Ann WELLER at St Pauls, Deptford. Caroline was born 20/11/1821 and baptized 30/12/1821, both events in St Mary Cray, Kent. She died quarter ending June 1889 in Bromley, Kent age 67.

They had the following children:

i. Charles James Joseph [5]

ii. Caroline Frances, born quarter ending June 1842 in St Mary Cray, Kent. In the quarter ending June 1867, when Caroline Franes was age about 25, she married Friend EAGLESTONE in Bromley, Kent.

iii. James [6]

iv. John Phillips [7]

v. Annie Weller, born about 1852 in St Mary Cray, Kent. In the quarter ending June 1876, when Annie was age about 24, she married Alfred Charles JARRETT in Greenwich, London.

vi. Mary Elizabeth, born about 1855 in St Mary Cray, Kent. In the quarter ending December 1875, when Mary was age about 20, she married John Andrew ROBE in Greenwich, London.

4. Charles Henry MAYATT.  Baptized 20/10/1822 in Snodland, Kent, Charles Henry died 1/4/1899, age 76.

On 25/7/1844, when Charles Henry was age 21, he married Anne PHILLIPS, daughter of Edward PHILLIPS and Ann WELLER.  Ann was baptized 2/5/1824 at Parish Church, St Mary Cray, Bromley, Kent. She died 16/1/1875 in Snodland, Kent, age 50.

They had the following children:

i. Charles Henry, born quarter ending September 1845 in Bromley, Kent and baptized 7/9/1845 at St Mary Cray, Kent.  Charles Henry died quarter ending June 1903 and was buried 20/5/1903 in Snodland, Kent.

ii. Edward Phillips [8] (1847-?).

iii. Joseph Ravulus Phillips [9] (1849-1925).

iv. John Phillips, baptized 14/12/1851 St Mary Cray, Kent.  John died February 1854 at St Mary Cray, Kent. age 2. He was buried 19/2/1854 at Parish Church St Mary Cray, Bromley, Kent.

v. William [10] (1854-1927).

vi. Unnamed male, born 23/9/1855, died 25/9/1855 age 2 days.

vii. Ann Weller, born 1857 in East Malling, Kent. In the quarter ending June 1876, when Ann was age about 19, she married Charles BISHOP in Greenwich. They had six children.

viii. John James Phillips, born 1858 in Malling, Kent.  John married Winifred LEE.

ix. Mary Elizabeth Jane, born 1861 in Snodland, Kent. Mary married William MANNERING.

x. James George, born 1867 in Snodland, Kent.

xi. Henry Job [11] (1869-1943).
