5. Eliza Mary JOHNSON [Parents]. Born quarter ending December 1870 in St. George on the East, London. It is not known when Eliza Mary died but it was after 31/3/1901 - she appeared in the census taken on that date.

In the quarter ending December 1894, when Eliza Mary was about 24, she married Alfred James JOHNSON, son of James JOHNSON and Caroline SWABEY, in Bethnal Green, London. Alfred James was born quarter ending June 1871 in Stepney, London. There is no known connection, other than this marriage, between these Johnson families.
They had the following children:
i. Alfred James Francis, born quarter ending September 1895 in Leytonstone, Essex.
ii. Dorothy Ethel, born quarter ending September 1896, in Leytonstone, Essex.
iii. Francis, born about 1900, in Leytonstone, Essex.
6. James Robert JOHNSON [Parents]. Born 28/12/1864 in St George in the East, London, By the time of his marriage in 1885 James Robert was calling himself “Robert James”. He died in The German Hospital, Dalston, London on 6/8/1936, age 71. Cause of death: Carcinoma of pancreas, certified by W. B. Purchase, Coroner for County of London, after post mortem without inquest. Death reported by his daughter Ethel Ling, 21 Mildmay Street, Islington, London. He was buried as Robert James on 13/8/1936 in Abney Park Cemetery, Stoke Newington. Occupation: Tobacco cutter.
James Robert lived at 11 Thornhill Place, Maidstone, Kent at time of his marriage (1885); 8 Wiltshire Row, Shoreditch (1901); 49 Appleby Street, Haggerston (1902). 64 Ufton Road, Dalston (circa 1911 until his death).
On 27/11/1885 when Robert James was 20, he married Frances Elizabeth PARRIS, daughter of William PARRIS & Mary LUCHFORD, in Maidstone Register Office, Kent. Born on 11/9/1865 in Upper Halling, Kent. Frances Elizabeth died on 8/1/1931, age 65. Buried on 24/1/1931 in Abney Park Cemetery, Stoke Newington.

i. Mary Florence, born 22/4/1887 in Maidstone, Kent. Mary Florence died 7/1/1973 in Frome, Somerset, age 85. In the quarter ending December 1909, when Mary Florence was age 22, she married George Alfred SLATER in Hackney, London. Born quarter ending June 1886 in Bethnal Green, London, it is not known when George Alfred died.
ii. Gertrude, born about 1889 in Maidstone, Kent.
iii. Albert Edward P [8] (1891-1946).
iv. James, birth registered quarter ending June 1893 in Shoreditch, London. Military record: Private 24686 James Johnson, 11th Bn Border Regiment, was killed in action on 18/11/1916, age 24, during the Battle of the Somme. James has no known grave and is commemorated at the Thiepval Memorial, France.
On 27/8/1914 when James was age 21, he married Sarah Elizabeth MOSS, at Holy Trinity Church Hoxton, London. Sarah Elizabeth was born about 1892. Both gave 55 Shepherders Walk as the address at time of marriage. Sarah lived at 33 Harman St, Kingsland Road, Shoreditch at the time of James’ death.

vi. Ethel Elizabeth, born quarter ending December 1900 in Shoreditch, London. In the quarter ending June 1922, when Ethel was age about 21, she married Joseph LING in Hackney, London.

7. Frank Frederick JOHNSON [Parents]. Born quarter ending December 1873 in Chatham, Kent. It is not known when Frank died. Occupation: Street trader.
In the quarter ending September 1899, when Frank was age 25, he married Martha Matilda WHILEY in Shoreditch, London. Martha was born quarter ending June 1876 in London. It is not known when she died.
They had the following children:
i. Francis Charles, born 31/10/1899 in Islington, London and baptized 26/11/1899 at St Peter, De Beauvoir Town, Hackney, London.. Military record: Private 616507 Francis Johnson, 19th Bn., London Regiment died age 18 on 2 July 1918 at an unknown place, during the Great War. Francis is commemorated at the City of London Cemetery, Manor Park.
ii. Charles Thomas, born 9/6/1901 in Islington, London and baptized 21/7/1901 at St Peter, De Beauvoir Town, Hackney, London.
iii. William James, born 25/10/1903 in Islington, London and baptized 22/11/1903 at St Peter, De Beauvoir Town, Hackney, London.
iv. Annie Elizabeth, born 5/11/1906 in Islington, London and baptized 2/12/1906 at St Peter, De Beauvoir Town, Hackney, London.

8. Albert Edward P JOHNSON [Parents]. Born quarter ending December 1891 in Shoreditch, London. Albert Edward died 20/5/1946. Cause of death: Bronchial carcinoma. He was buried 25/5/1946 in Abney Park cemetery, Stoke Newington.
In the quarter ending March 1916, Albert Edward was age 24, he married Florence Emily CLIFT in Hackney, London. Florence Emily was born 20/2/1891 in Dalston, London and died 8/8/1970.
They had the following children:
i. Albert Edward, born quarter ending June 1917 in Hackney, London.
ii. Winifred Florence, born 26/12/1923 in Hackney, London.
9. Alfred Thomas JOHNSON [Parents]. Born 27/10/1902 in Shoreditch, London. Alfred Thomas died in Well House hospital, Barnet, Herts on 31/12/1939, age 37. Buried in 1940 at Welwyn Garden City, Herts. Occupation: Journeyman baker (1924), Cafe proprietor (1932).
Lived at 44 Lindley Road, Leyton at the time of Kenneth Johnson's birth in 1924. Moved to 75 St Peters Street, Islington, London by 1932.
On 27/12/1923 when Alfred Thomas was 21, he married Ivy May CHAPPLE, daughter of Charles Frederick CHAPPLE & Emily BAKER, in Hackney Register Office. Born on 9/4/1902 in Edmonton, London, Ivy May died in Ware, Hertfordshire on 24/1/1993, age 90.
They had the following children:
i. Kenneth Alfred, born 29/12/1924 in Clapton, London. Kenneth died in Hatfield, Herts 23/4/1935, age 10.

10. George JOHNSON [Parents]. Born 8/4/1906 in Haggerston, London.
On 8/6/1925 when George was 19, he married Mary Ann Kezia MARSHALL, in St Matthews, Islington.
They had the following children:
i. Victor George [12] (1926-1997)
ii. James. born 1931. James died in Victoria Hospital, Tite Street, Chelsea on 20/1/1935, he was 4. Buried on 26/1/1935 in Abney Park Cemetery, Stoke Newington. Cause of death: Diptheria.
iii. Frank.
iv. Richard Steven.

11. Peter JOHNSON [Parents]. Born on 26/10/1926 in London and died in Ontario, Canada on 24/10/1998, age 71.
In August 1947, when Peter was 20, he married Una Gwendoline ANDREWS (1928-2002). Peter and Una emigrated to Canada in 1951. They divorced in 1965.
They had 3 children who are still living:
In 1967 when Peter was 40, he married [Living] at the Hatfield Register Office, Herts.
They had 2 children who are still living.
12. Victor George JOHNSON [Parents]. Born 7/4/1926 in London, died at 51 Grafton Road, Roade, Northants on 10/11/1997, age 71.
Victor George married Irene Lilian MASON.
They had 3 children who are still living.
