The Harris Family of Harrold, Bedfordshire

There are three separate and, as far as we can tell from our research to date, unconnected Harris families in our tree. 1. Joshua HARRIS. Little is known about Joshua except he was born about 1759, possibly in Northampton. Joshua died quarter ending September 1845 in Harrold, Bedfordshire, age about 86.
On 18/4/1784, when Joshua was age about 24, he married Rebeckah MACQUIRE at All Saints, Northampton. Rebeckah was born 6/11/1763 in Northampton. She died some time before 6/6/1841 - she does not appear in the census taken on that day.
They had the following children:
i. Anne, baptized 23/9/1786 in Harrold, Bedfordshire.
ii. James Macquire [2] born about 1794.
It is unlikely these were the only ones, but we have so far been unable to trace any others.
2. James Macquire HARRIS [Parents]. Born about 1794 in Harrold, Bedfordshire. James died quarter ending June 1883 in Northampton, probably aged about 88, although the death registration entry gives 86. Occ Saddler and Harness Maker.
Around 1816, when James was age about 22, he married Rhoda (maiden name unknown). Rhoda was born about 1794 in Redbourn, Hertfordshire. Rhoda died quarter ending September 1870, in Harrold, Bedfordshire, her age given as 75.
They had the following children:
i. Charles [3]
ii. Robert [4]
iii. Rebecca, baptized 16/7/1820 in Harrold, Bedfordshire.
iv. Emma, born about 1822 in Harrold, Bedfordshire.
v. Thomas [5]
vii. Nancy, born 1826 and baptized 25/12/1832 in Harrold, Bedfordshire.
viii. William John [6]
ix. Frederick, baptized 4/5/1834 in Harrold, Bedfordshire.
3. Charles HARRIS [Parents]. Born about 1817 in Harrold, Bedfordshire. Charles died sometime before 5/4/1891 - he does not appear in the census taken on that day. Occ: Harness maker.
On 10/4/1839, when Charles was age about 21, he married Elizabeth BOYD in Harrold, Bedfordshire. Elizabeth was born about 1815 in Aldermaston, Berkshire. Elizabeth died quarter ending June 1873 in Reading, Berkshire, age about 58.
They had the following children:
i. Louisa, born around July 1839 in Harrold and baptized there 18/8/1839.
ii. William George, born around December 1841 in Harrold and baptized there 2/1/1842.
iii. Emily, born around March 1844 in Harrold and baptized there 24/3/1842.
iv. Edward, born about 1845 in Middlesex.
v. Eliza, born about 1848 in Mortimer, Berkshire.
vi. Arthur [7]
vii. Elizabeth Ann, born quarter ending December 1854 in Mortimer, Berkshire.
viii. Henry, born quarter ending September 1856 in Mortimer, Berkshire.
In the quarter ending March 1877, when Charles was age about 59, he married Ruth TARRAN in Reading, Berkshire. Ruth was born about 1824 in Wellington, Shropshire and died quarter ending March 1877 in Reading, age about 52.
4. Robert HARRIS [Parents]. Born about 1819 in Harrold, Bedfordshire. It is not known when Robert died but it was before 2/4/1871 - she does not appear in the census taken on that day. Occ: Carpenter.
On 19/5/1848, when Robert was age about 21, he married Mary ROOTHAM in Harrold. Mary was born about 1822 in Harrold and died before 2/4/1871 - he does not appear in the census taken on that day.
They had the following child:
i. George [8]
5. Thomas HARRIS [Parents]. Born 1824 and baptized 25/12/1832 in Harrold, Bedfordshire. Occ Carpenter. Thomas died quarter ending March 1897 in St Albans, age given as 69.
On 2/8/1846, when Thomas was age about 22, he first married Eliza Heathfield in Caddington, Bedfordshire. Born about 1823, Eliza died in the quarter ending March 1874 in St Albans, Hertfordshire, age about 51.
They had the following children:
i. Thomas William, baptized 29/7/1847, died 9/1/1849 age 17 months.
ii. William, born about 1848 in St Albans, Hertfordshire and died quarter ending September 1856, also in St Albans, age about 8.
iii. Arthur, born about 1849.
iv. Thomas [9]
v. Frederick George [10]
vi. Louisa, born quarter ending March 1861 in St Albans, Hertfordshire.
Thomas second married Charlotte. No further details are known.
6. William John HARRIS [Parents]. Born 1830 and baptized 25/12/1832 in Harrold, Bedfordshire. Occ Brickyard Foreman.
William married Rebecca. No further details are known.
They had the following children:
i. William Frederick [11]
ii. James, born quarter ending March 1860 in Winslow, Buckinghamshire.
iii. Rhoda, born about 1862 in Winslow, Buckinghamshire.
iv. Robert George, born quarter ending March 1864 in Winslow, Buckinghamshire.
v. Thomas John, born quarter ending March 1868 in Towcester, Northampton. Thomas married Matilda LOVELL or SHRIVES. Born about 1874 in Grendon, Northampton, it is not know when Matilda died.
vi. John Henry, born quarter ending December 1872 in Towcester, Northampton. In the quarter ending March 1897, when John was age 25, he married Alice SAVAGE in Kettering, Northamptonshire. Alice was born about 1872, also in Kettering.
